More STEM-based companies are beginning to adopt this recruitment software, and the use of 𝘱𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 10-15% 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳. Dear SCISOC members: This is the official notice of the SCISOC AGM. The AGM will be held on the 14th of October, Thursday, between 7-9pm. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND candidates to nominate themselves via this Google Form prior here, else you may choose to nominate yourself on the day after all nominees have given their speeches. The form is open now, and will close 𝟭𝟭:𝟱𝟵𝗣𝗠 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭𝟭/𝟭𝟬/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 - that is, three days before the AGM begins. All nominees will then be publicly revealed on our Facebook page. Didn’t do as much as you wanted last term, and want to do yourself justice in this one? Want a chance to prove your problem-solving and analytical skills in a real-world situation? Well, it’s time to crack a case with your friends!! Partnered with Eucalyptus, UNSW Science Society is proud to present our ✨𝗔 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 @ 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵✨, where you and your team will be cracking a case that is affecting many people around the world. This online case will give you an opportunity to meet up with industry professionals as they provide you with tips and tricks, and help you solve the case in the LIFELINE. ---------------- 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 Teams of four will be given 80 minutes to solve a case question revolving around the theme of 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, which they will present to a panel of judges. Within the 80 minutes, teams will be given the ability to use their 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲, where one of our experts will provide advice with their solution. However, this 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 only lasts for ⏰𝟮𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀⏰!! The case will give contestants an insight into biomedical design and development, combining business principles with STEM and engineering design. In teams, you’ll be able to develop your critical thinking abilities, and the application of your knowledge through a science/consulting lens! Finalists will be judged by representatives from Cochlear, and given the opportunity to speak with senior engineers and management.
