#1 KETCHUP RAMEN
Ingredients:
- Water (according to the package instructions)
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- 1 tbsp ketchup
Instructions:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
2. Once it starts to boil, add the ramen packets and noodles. Add in ketchup (1 tbsp).
3. Once the noodles are cooked, transfer it to a serving bowl. Enjoy~!
#2 MILK RAMEN
Ingredients:
- Water
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- 350ml whole milk
- 1/2 tbsp Korean chili pepper flakes (gochugaru) (optional)
- 1-2 thinly sliced green onions
Instructions:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the noodles and flakes. (Do not add the ramen powder yet.)
2. Once the noodles are 90% cooked, drain out the water.
3. Boil the noodles again with 350ml of milk. Add the ramen powder.
4. Optionally, add Korean chili pepper flakes (if using) and sliced green onions. Enjoy~!
#3 KUJIRAI RAMEN
Ingredients:
- 350ml water
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- 1/2 ramyun powder
- 1 egg
- 1 slice American cheese
- 1-2 thinly sliced green onions
Instructions:
1. In a pan, add the water (350ml). Bring it to a boil. Add the noodles, the flakes, and 1/2 of the ramyun powder.
2. Once the noodles are almost done cooking, reduce the heat to medium. Crack an egg in the middle. Top with American cheese and sliced green onions.
3. Put a lid on and wait for 30-40 seconds to cook the egg. Enjoy~!
#4 TTEOKBOKKI RAMEN
Ingredients:
- 300ml water
- 1/4 yellow onion
- 1 sheet Korean fish cake
- Handful of green cabbage
- 1-2 green onions
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- Generous pinch of toasted sesame seeds, to garnish
Tteokbokki Sauce:
- 1 tbsp Korean chili paste (gochujang)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp ramyun powder
Instructions:
1. Make the sauce. In a small container, mix together Korean chili paste, sugar, minced garlic, and 1/2 teaspoon of ramyun powder. Set aside.
2. In a pot, add the water (300ml). Bring it to a boil.
3. Meanwhile, slice the onion. Cut the fish cake, cabbage, and green onions into bite-sized pieces.
4. When the water starts to boil, add the noodles, fish cake, onion, and cabbage. Add in the sauce and give it a good stir. Cook until the noodles are cooked through.
5. Sprinkle on sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Enoy~!
#5 STIR-FRIED RAMEN
Ingredients:
- 1-2 green onions
- 1/4 yellow onion
- Handful of green cabbage
- 2.8 oz (80g) pork leg (or pork belly, shoulder, or chicken)
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- 1 tbsp neutral-tasting oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 ramyun powder
- Generous pinch of toasted sesame seeds, to garnish
Instructions:
1. Cut the green onions, yellow onion, cabbage, and pork into bite-sized pieces.
2. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the noodles.
3. Meanwhile, take out a wok (or pan) and heat the oil (1 tbsp) it over medium-high heat. Once it’s heated, add the green onions and saute for 1 minute or until fragrant.
4. Add the pork and stir-fry it. Once the pork is cooked, add the onion and the cabbage. Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1/2 of the ramyun powder. Toss together.
5. Once the noodles are cooked through, drain and transfer them to the wok. Stir-fry everything together over high heat. Add more water if needed. Enjoy~!
#6 COLD SOY SAUCE RAMEN
Ingredients:
- 1-2 green onions
- 1 green chili
- 1 mild red chili
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- 2 tbsp Tsuyu
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 fresh egg yolk
- Generous pinch of toasted sesame seeds, to garnish
Instructions:
1. Thinly slice the green onions and chili peppers.
2. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the noodles. When the noodles are cooked, drain and rinse them with cold water. Put them in a serving bowl.
3. Add Tsuyu and sesame oil. Top with all the sliced vegetables and place the egg yolk in the middle.
4. Sprinkle on sesame seeds. Enjoy~!
#7 COLD RAMEN
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- 1/4 cucumber
- Handful of green cabbage
- 1-2 green onions
- 1 green chili
- 1.5 tbsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp white vinegar
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 200ml water
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1-2 hard-boiled eggs, to serve
- Generous pinch of toasted sesame seeds, to garnish
Instructions:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the noodles, along with the flakes. (Do not add the ramen powder yet.)
2. Once the noodles are cooked, drain and rinse them under cold water. Set aside.
3. Cut the cucumber into matchsticks. Thinly slice the cabbage, green onions, and chili pepper.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine the ramyun powder, sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. Add the water (200ml) and ice cubes. Mix to combine.
5. In a serving bowl, place the drained noodles. Garnish with sliced cucumber and hard-boiled eggs. Pour in the broth. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Enjoy~!
#8 GREEN ONION RAMEN
Ingredients:
- 2 green onions
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 yellow onion
- 2.8 oz (80g) pork leg (or chicken, shrimp, etc.)
- Splash of neutral-tasting oil
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- 500ml water, divided
Instructions:
1. Slice the green onions into long strips. Thinly slice garlic cloves and onion.
2. Cut the pork into bite-sized pieces.
3. Take out a wok. Add a splash of oil and place it over medium-high heat. Once it’s heated, add the green onions and garlic. Saute for 1 minute or until fragrant.
4. Add the onion and the pork. Once the pork is halfway cooked, add the ramen powder and stir-fry it. Be careful not to burn it.
5. Once the pork is cooked, check the package instructions and pour in 80% of the water (400ml). When the noodles are 90% cooked, pour the rest of the water (100ml) and boil a little more. Transfer it to a serving bowl. Garnish with green onions. Enjoy~!
#9 TOMATO EGG RAMEN
Ingredients:
- 1/2 tomato
- 1/4 yellow onion
- 1-2 green onions
- 1 green chili (optional)
- 550ml water
- 1 pack of Spicy Korean ramen (no seafood flavor)
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1 egg
Instructions:
1. Cut the tomato into bite-sized pieces. Thinly slice the onion, green onions, and chili pepper (if using).
2. In a pot, add the water (550ml), along with the tomato and onion. Bring it to a boil.
3. Add the ramyun powder. Mash the tomato.
4. Add the noodles, along with the green onions, chili pepper (if using), and vinegar.
5. Meanwhile, beat an egg in another bowl and add it to the pot. Do not stir it and boil it a little more. Once the noodles are cooked, transfer it to a serving bowl. Enjoy~!
